Art of Credit debtors don't have a clue



The problem is that Art of Credit debtors don't have a clue how to win against these debt collectors but the debt collectors think they do. One is scared of the other and the other is damned glad of it. (LOL)

Hydra, I've had this precise scenario myself before. Pursuant to the FDCPA, if the attorney does not return your call within a reasonable period of time (defined differently by different courts, but 30 days is generally the norm), then you ARE permitted to make a demand directly on your debtor when she answers the telephone at work.


As E. Normis said, there is no conflict of interest here. The mere fact the lady is his employee does not preclude her from being a client as well.

In my case that I had, the debtor was not only the attorney's secretary, she was also his MOTHER!

Anyway, after repeated calls and her son growing tired of dealing with the matter, they finally settled the debt with me.

The secret is to keep calling (but not as to harrass), and suck up as much of the attorney's time as possible. When our debtors retain counsel, we love it. We call even MORE often and keep the attorney on the phone as long as possible. Talk about the weather, put him on hold, talk some more, put him on hold again, etc., etc. After a while, the debtor's legal bill will compel him to pay YOUR bill or incur additional legal costs (...hmmmm.....isn't that the same trick that debtors on AoC are now trying to play on US ?)

Yes, and that just proves how ignorant they really are.
