Bud Hibbs Exposed

This is hilarious info on one of America's so called "credit experts".

If only I knew who put this together, I'd happily donate a few bucks towards the hosting fee.. hahahahahaha..

I didn't figure he had the huevos to actually be here in person. That site is seriously blocked by my work's filter, but I'll check it at home. Anyone can see he is just in it for the money. I like the little cartoons of collectors he has on his site that resemble the burgler from the Cookie Crisp cereal box. Gawd. Do they still sell Cookie Crisp? Wasn't there a dog that always caught him in the ads?

Did you guys check out the news about CAMCO? I'm sure Pic would be thrilled. Someone sends an envelope to their Illinois office with nothing but powder in it. It was negative for anthrax though.

I've seen some crazy things sent to CA's over the years. Many years ago I was pressing this guy for a $15,000 payoff and he was in regular contact with me over a period of weeks in which he was attempting to obtain a loan. He called me with the good news that he was approved and even read me off a Fed/Ex tracking number. Next day I get an envelope stuffed with $15,000 in Monopoly Money ! Called him and his number was disconnected. He had moved out of state the same day. The whole story about a loan was nothing but a gag.

I worked for Payco years ago and we once received back one of our own dunning letters that the debtor had used as toilet paper! Nasty, to be sure. We all felt pretty bad for the poor mail person that opened it....

I've received Christmas cards, a hat, a marble and brass plaque, a gift certificates to Johnny Rockets, lots and lots of hate mail (can't figure out why), and I've experienced bomb threats.

One of the funniest episodes was a debtor that was trying to negotiate down a Judgment. He was trying to close on a house and the collector was refusing to reduce the balance since he knew the debtor was trying to buy a house. Debtor got so pissed that he personally walked in the cash: Over $12,000 in COIN ! The guy walked in bags of mixed coins. He sat and read a book for the 4 hours it took FOUR people to count out all of it. Absolutely hilarious.

I played a prank on my receptionist once. She was complaining about debtors that deliberately pay in small amounts just to cost us time. She didn't know it, but I had a debtor scheduled to come in that morning to pay $2500 in cash. I called him and offered to reduce his balance by $50 if he brought it in $1 bills. He thought I was nuts, but he played along. As the receptionist was counting it, he kept interrupting her, causing her to have to recount it FIVE times ! .... she nearly quit when she later found it was ME that set it up.

....
